The role:You willbe responsible forpreparing and delivering all practical work across theBiologydepartment including the maintenance of safety of equipment,specimensand other resources.The tasks includepreparingmaterials for investigation in class, caringfor the display organisms,checkingand orderingstockand upholdingstringent health and safety standards.Your contribution to the pupil experiencewill be invaluable as youenable the provision of a smoothly operating and efficient environmentthat inspires and excitesour students.For moreinformationplease review the job description attached as a separate document to the advertisement on theSchoolvacancies page.
The skills:The position would be ideal for someone who has some experience of working within a biology laboratory as a student and/or a technician, is passionate about taking the initiative to provide a professional service within a safe environment and who would enjoy being parta supportive member of the team withinour vibrant and historic School.

The environment:Harrow School is situated in Harrow on the Hill, northwest London, and is one of the best-known schools in the world. Around 835boysstudy at Harrow and live in theSchools12 boarding houses.The Biology Department is housed in thebrand newBiology Schools and consists of seven teaching laboratories, one research laboratory, a seminar room, departmentofficeand large prep room. There are eight teachers supported bythe senior technicianand a technician.
