Protocol Education is supporting a well-regarded BS48 secondary school in the recruitment of a permanent Science Technician to join their friendly and supportive Science department.
This is a brilliant opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality practical science from Year 7 right through to Sixth Form.
35 Hours per Week | Term Time + 3 INSET Days

The Role
You will:
⚗ Prepare chemicals, materials and equipment for practical lessons
⚗ Ensure resources are cleaned, organised and safely stored
⚗ Support teaching staff during practical sessions and demonstrations
⚗ Maintain and check laboratory equipment, reporting faults where needed
⚗ Dispose of waste materials safely and correctly
⚗ Uphold rigorous health and safety standards
⚗ Provide occasional wider school support, including during exam periods or First Aid cover
Your organisation and attention to detail will directly support safe, engaging learning across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Full training and ongoing support will be provided by the experienced Science team. A First Aid qualification would be advantageous, or a willingness to undertake training.
Pay Through Protocol Education
£100 – £120 per day PAYE
Paid weekly
Holiday pay accrued

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
