This Outstanding school in the heart of Cambridge is seeking a meticulous Science Technician with a specialism in Biology. You will provide essential technical support to the life sciences faculty, ensuring that practical lessons from Key Stage 3 to A-Level are delivered with precision and safety.

• Biological Preparation: Preparing cultures, reagents, and specialized apparatus for advanced A-Level Biology practicals and GCSE required practicals.

• Safety & Compliance: Maintaining chemical and biological inventories in strict accordance with CLEAPSS guidelines and performing regular equipment safety checks.

• Lab Management: Coordinating the cleaning, repair, and storage of laboratory equipment and managing departmental stock orders.

• Essential Requirements: Prior experience in a school laboratory or a strong scientific background. Specialist knowledge of biological protocols is highly desirable.

• Salary: Competitive salary paid on the local government scale (expected to be £25,000 - £31,000 per annum).
