QC Laboratory TechnicianLocation: Bridgend (must live locally or have reliable transport)
Contract Type: Temporary ongoing
Rate: £16.76 per hour
Hours: 12‑hour shifts (days & nights on a rotating pattern)
We are recruiting a QC Laboratory Technician to join a well‑established manufacturing company in Bridgend. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop lab skills, gain technical experience, and progress in a quality‑focused role. No previous laboratory experience is required - full, structured training is provided over the first 3 months.
Key Responsibilities
As a QC Lab Technician, you will:
Carry out quality testing throughout the production process to ensure products meet specifications
Use pipettes and other laboratory equipment (full training provided)
Record data accurately and follow strict quality procedures
Identify and resolve basic quality issues such as out‑of‑spec results
Work closely with production and engineering teams
Support continuous improvement and maintain high-quality standards

Shift Pattern
You'll begin with 4 weeks of day shifts:
Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 3.30pm
Then move onto a 4‑week rotating shift pattern:
Week 1: Wed-Fri, 6pm-6.15am
Week 2: Wed-Fri, 6am-6.15pm
Week 3: Sun-Tues, 6pm-6.15am
Week 4: Sun-Tues, 6am-6.15pm
